No More Heroes 3 to Be “Like The Avengers”

During a preview event of Travis Strikes Again No More Heroes, Suda51 confirmed that he is already in the planning stages of No More Heroes 3 and that it will be “like The Avengers.” The game will see the return of Travis Touchdown and what sounds like some of his wildest enemies yet.

Sitting down for a preview event of Travis Strikes Again with Fandom, Suda51 was full of tidbits of information about both that game, and what potential shape No More Heroes 3 will take.

Despite talking about his plans for No More Heroes 3, however, Suda was quick to add that it does depend on “the success of Travis Strikes Again.” He explains that “nothing is set in stone yet, and of course it’ll depend on the success of Travis Strikes Again.” Rest assured, however, that he is “working on an outline for No More Heroes 3 – a proper direct sequel for the series – and it’s going to be connected to TSA in a big way.”

Suda adds that what he has planned for No More Heroes 3 thus far includes even “crazier” enemies than he has ever faced up to before. “Travis is going to go up against crazier adversaries than he ever has before it’s going to be bloodier, more intense battles between assassins it’s going to be kind of like The Avengers – Thanos levels of crazy villains.”

Suda51 sees Travis Strikes Again as the building blocks towards a true No More Heroes sequel. “In order for Travis to stand a chance [against these powerful new foes] I wanted to give Travis the chance to enter these different game worlds [in Travis Strikes Again] and power up- to learn some new skills and gain some more strength so that ultimately I can work to make Travis a more prominent character in video game history overall.” He also wants Travis to take the Skill Chips from Travis Strikes Again into “the next numbered installment.” Let’s hope we get the chance to make use of those skills in a threequel.
