Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

The Game Awards 2018: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Announced for Nintendo Switch

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was announced at The Game Awards 2018. This marks the first entry in the series since Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was released in 2009. This game looks to be a Switch exclusive. The series was much loved for its co-op play and loads of content in its first two entries but went off the radar until tonight’s announcement.

The plot of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 deals with the X-Men, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Inhumans and other heroes fighting against Thanos and The Black Order. The plot seems to be somewhat of an alternate take on Avengers: Infinity War, albeit on an even larger scale than the blockbuster movie.

Solo players can look forward to a more up-close-and-personal playstyle using the “Heroic Camera” perspective. Heroic Camera brings the viewpoint in over your character’s shoulder and allows you to play from a traditional third-person view.

Co-op will be a priority in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, just as it was in previous entries, and up to four players will be able to play together online or locally.

So far we don’t have a definitive release date for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. However, we do know that developers Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja are shooting for a 2019 window and that the game is a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
