AMD Radeon Navi graphics cards specs have been leaked

Report: AMD Radeon Navi RX Specs, Prices Leaked

Information around the next AMD Radeon graphics cards has leaked online. AMD is allegedly readying new cards using the upcoming Navi architecture. The cards are reported to be competitors of Nvidia RTX 2070, GTX 1070, and GTX 1060 cards, but at much lower prices.

YouTuber AdoredTV leaked the information in a video yesterday. The AMD Radeon RX 3000 series evolves the Radeon naming scheme, but more importantly it will be built with new Navi architecture. The 7nm Navi fabrication design is expected to greatly improve chip performance over the outgoing RX 500 series. AMD will likely reveal the new cards at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.

The Radeon RX 3080 will supposedly offer Nvidia RTX 2070 class performance for $250. RX 3080 cards will use the Navi 10 GPU, and 8GB of GDDR6 RAM. AdoredTV suggests that the RX 3080 will compete with the RTX 2070, and is roughly 15 percent more powerful than the AMD Vega 64 graphics card. If the leak is to be believed, AMD could offer the performance of a $500 graphics card for half the cost.

Furthermore, the $200 RX 3070 will compete with the upcoming still unannounced Nvidia GTX 2060. The RX 3070 is also rumored to ship with 8GB of GDDR6 video RAM, and is based in the Navi 12 chip. It is expected to offer the performance of an AMD Vega 56 or current Nvidia GTX 1070 at the lower price point.

The last member of the new AMD Radeon RX series is the RX 3060, a $130 budget-range card. The card is expected to feature 4GB of GDDR6 RAM, and will be based on a cut back Navi 12 GPU. It is expected to use a 75 watt TDP, and won’t require a separate power connector. AdoredTV’s leak suggests it will compete with the GTX 1060, and is equivalent in power to an AMD RX 580.

Rumors that AMD Radeon Navi GPU‘s will be mainstream products have persisted all year. It was also reported that the PlayStation 5 will use AMD’s Navi GPU alongside the company’s new Zen CPU.
