Total War Three Kingdoms Blog Series Details Warlord Backstories

Creative Assembly has revealed a new Total War Three Kingdoms blog series ahead of the game’s release next year. Titled “Warlord Legends,” the blog will provide new information on each of the 11 playable warlords in the turn-based, real-time strategy game.

Creative Assembly made the announcement on their official Total War Twitter account. The first entry in the series gives a brief rundown of what players can expect from the blog, and why it is important for gamers to know as much information as possible about each faction leader.

“With such an iconic and varied cast available, each campaign starts with an important choice: which of these heroes, villains, or murky-shades-of-grey types do you want to lead to glory?” the blog’s opening reads. “It’s hard to make that decision without knowing all your options, so over the coming weeks we are going to reveal playable warlords as we kick off Warlord Legends, a series of blog posts focusing on specific playable warlords, showcasing their unique personality, story so far, and what that means for gameplay (we’ll also go into more detail on the three playable warlords we’ve already revealed).”

The article moves on to explore the first character in the series: Sun Jian, the so-called Daredevil and Tiger of Jiangdong. It explains his origins, playstyle, skills, and where his adventure in Total War: Three Kingdoms begins. Other character profiles will be released over the next few weeks and months, and will provide Total War fans with a better understanding of each player-controlled commander.

Total War: Three Kingdoms will be the twelfth entry in the Total War franchise, and is based on the iconic Luo Guanzhong novel called “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.” The game will be released on March 7, 2019, and it will be available to play on PC, Linux, and Mac.
