Pokemon Meltan

New Pokemon Melmetal Revealed, Pokemon Go Exclusive

new Pokemon, Melmetal, has been revealed for Pokemon Go and Let’s Go PokemonIt is the evolved form of the previously revealed Meltan. It can only be caught within Pokemon Go, but it can be transferred to Let’s Go Pokemon when it releases for the Nintendo Switch in November.

The new pokemon, Melmetal, will retain its Steel typing from its pre-evolution. Its most unique aspect, at least in Pokemon Let’s Go, is that it has a unique attack. The Melmetal exclusive attack will be called Double Iron Bash. The official Pokemon website describes it as the creature using “the hex nut in its chest like an axle to spin its powerful arms around, dealing a double strike to the opponent.” The move will also be steel-type and be of the physical attack classification. A new episode of The Two Professors has been released alongside this announcement. It adds that Melmetal is made up of a large number of Meltans merging together. You can watch the video below.

However, the only way to obtain Melmetal will be through Pokemon Go. Meltan will not be able to evolve in either of the Pokemon Let’s Go games, so the evolution must occur in the mobile game. To do this, players will need to collect 400 Meltan candies. These can be obtained in various ways such as trading in the metal pokemon or simply capturing them. The official Pokemon website also adds that the candies will be obtainable by sending Meltan to Pokemon Let’s Go.

As previously reported, the only way to capture Meltan is through having both Pokemon Go and Pokemon Let’s Go. This is because Meltan will only be available in the mobile game when players send Pokemon over to the Nintendo Switch title. Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee will be released November 16.
