Ghostbusters World

Ghostbusters World Now Available on Android and iOS

Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Ghost Corps, publisher FourThirtyThree Inc, and developer Next Age have announced the release of the Ghostbusters World mobile game today for the Android and iOS platforms. The Ghostbusters World AR game features gameplay similar to that of worldwide hit Pokemon Go. A launch trailer has also been released earlier today.

Ghostbusters World can be downloaded for free by all Android and iOS users, from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, respectively. It is a free-to-play AR map-based mobile game in the vein of Pokemon Go and Jurassic World Alive. However, the game also features turn-based combat gameplay with RPG elements in its multiplayer PvP mode.

There are hundreds of ghosts adapted and inspired by Ghostbusters‘ movies, comics, TV shows, and game, as well as brand new never-before-seen ghosts. Players begin searching for ghosts using the P.K.E. meter from the movies. When facing ghosts, players deplete their health bars by using multiple proton-based weapons, including a rad Proton Shotgun. These ghosts can then be used when facing other Ghostbusters in the multiplayer PvP mode.

In Ghostbusters World, players can team up with up to four friends to battle bosses ranging from the infamous Ghostbusters 2 antagonist to the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the first movie. The game also contains an original story and exclusive art by the same creative team behind the IDW Ghostbusters comic book series. Fans of the franchise can look forward to encountering familiar characters like Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddmore.

FourThirtyThree Inc is best known for developing other mobile games like DC Unchained and Lost Kingdom. Ghostbusters World was initially available for pre-registration earlier this month.
