total war warhammer 2 patch

Free Total War Warhammer 2 Patch Announced for November

A new free Total War Warhammer 2 patch will drop alongside the game’s new DLC pack called “The Vampire Coast,” which will be released on November 8. The Aye Aye patch will introduce a host of significant changes to the title. Part of this update sees changes to the Vampire Count factions with a new Bloodlines mechanic introduced, and a new legendary character — Lord Lokhir Fellheart, also known as the Krakenlord — will be included too.

“With the launch of the Curse of the Vampire Coast campaign pack comes a new update for Total War: Warhammer 2,” developer Creative Assembly wrote in a blog post. “This will be applied automatically to the game when you log into Steam. The Aye Aye! Patch also brings a plethora of balance changes to factions, legendary lords, and units, along with numerous tweaks, fixes, and improvements to a great many areas of the game – full patch notes coming soon.”

One intriguing change to the Vampire Counts factions sees Heinrich Kemmler leave in order to pursue his own destiny. Creative Assembly has revealed that Kemmler will lead the Barrow Legion from Blackstone Post, a new capital city that borders Bretonnia. Kemmler can ride around the battlefield on a new mount too, called the Barded Nightmare. He also has the ability to awaken old Vampire Lords from the past, thanks to the introduction of the Bloodlines mechanic.

Fellheart, meanwhile, is the leader of the Blessed Dread army. He will be playable in the Mortal Engines and Eye of the Vortex campaign modes, and owns the island of Chupayotl at the start of play. Fellheart’s abilities include being able to bypass Rites to summon Black Ark ships to his cause, and he can acquire one for each major port settlement that he wins in battle. Fellheart can be downloaded from this official Steam page. Total War: Warhammer 2 is available now on PC and Mac.
