Battlefront 2 Clone Wars Voice Actors

Battlefront 2 Will Use The Clone Wars Voice Actors

EA has confirmed the official cast for the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Clone Wars voice actors. Fans of the iconic franchise will be glad to learn that voices from the Star Wars The Clone Wars animated series will be joining the upcoming new update for the game, which will see the addition of General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker as playable heroes and villains.

The Battlefront 2 Clone Wars voice actors will include the return of several voice actors reprising their roles. Arriving on October 30, General Grievous will be voiced by Matthew Wood. He was the original voice of the Separatist leader in the 2005 movie Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith, as well as in The Clone Wars. Meanwhile, the next character to arrive will be Obi-Wan Kenobi in November, who will be voiced by James Arnold Taylor. He has technically portrayed the Jedi Knight longer than Ewan McGregor ever did, throughout the entirety of The Clone Wars from 2008 to 2014.

Additionally, Corey Burton and Matt Lanter will both be reprising their roles of Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker, respectively. Count Dooku is slated to arrive in January 2019, with Anakin Skywalker being the last playable hero to release sometime in February 2019. These characters were all initially announced by EA in a planned Star Wars Battlefront 2 roadmap revealed two months ago. In interviews with EA, Wood and Lanter even confessed to being gamers in real life, with the latter stating that he often plays 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront.

The move to hire Battlefront 2 Clone Wars voice actors is timely, especially considering hype for Star Wars The Clone Wars is currently at its highest since the animated series was canceled years ago. This renewed interest was sparked by the announcement of the animated series’ unexpected revival at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 earlier this year.
