Fallout 76 Original Theme Revealed

The Fallout 76 original theme song has been revealed. The theme represents “a score inspired by the beauty of West Virginia,” according to Bethesda, and was composed by none other than Inon Zur. Zur also worked on Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4.

The theme was revealed in a video posted to the official Bethesda Softworks YouTube channel, which has been viewed 100,000 times since it was released yesterday.

Inon Zur is a world-renowned composer outside of the Fallout series, too, having worked on titles from Prince of Persia to Dragon Age. He even won a Hollywood Music in Media Award in the “Best Original Song – Video Game” category for the latter back in 2009
It has been confirmed that this theme will be the official theme for Fallout 76, as opposed to the “Take Me Home, Country Roads” song from John Denver that released back in July. Fallout games are accustomed to having licensed soundtracks making it easy to see how this would be its de facto theme.
The harmonic at the start of Zur’s theme is beautiful, but somewhat melancholic. Soon after, the drums come in, resembling the epic soundtracks of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. The theme’s instrumental seems to imply that Fallout 76‘s Appalachia will be massive, awesome, and ultimately dangerous.
Fallout 76‘s beta comes out for Xbox One on October 23, and launches for PC and PS4 a week later. The full game will be available on all platforms from November 14.
