Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Post-Launch Plans Revealed, Nuketown Map Confirmed

Activision and Treyarch have revealed their Call of Duty Black Ops 4 post-launch plans that include a steady stream of both free and paid updates. The publisher is resuming its partnership with PlayStation, which means that PS4 players can look forward to some timed exclusive content coming their way, including the fan-favorite Nuketown map. The very same content will still reach Xbox One and PC players, albeit at later unspecified dates.

First of all, the Nuketown map will be returning in November, just a month after the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 in October 2018. The popular multiplayer map will be making a triumphant return for all players to enjoy. Furthermore, the developer has even confirmed that it will be a new version of the Nuketown map, with an “all-new take.” In December, the first of several new specialists will be released, although we currently have no other specifics.

Additionally, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout will continue evolving, as well as receive regular map updates and expansions. Treyarch has confirmed that Blackout will even receive new game modes. Last but not least, players can anticipate seasonal, weekly, and limited-time events that will deliver constant content for everyone. These free content updates will arrive across all three gameplay modes, which include Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout.

The post-launch plans revealed by the developer and publisher are rather broad, so we’ll have to wait for more details and information from them as we get closer to the game’s release date. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will come out on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 12, 2018.

In other related news, last year’s Call of Duty WW2 recently received its last DLC pack in August 2018. It provided the conclusion to the most recent Nazi Zombies storyline, as well as added several multiplayer maps.
