Bandai Namco has confirmed that Super Saiyan Blue Goku in Jump Force will indeed be a transformation, instead of a separate character. Some players have been worried that the upcoming game would feature multiple versions of the same character like Dragon Ball FighterZ, which featured several versions of Goku alone. The developer has also unveiled our first look at the Dragon Ball character’s arguably strongest form.
The official Bandai Namco U.S. Twitter account revealed earlier today that Super Saiyan Blue Goku would be featured in Jump Force. However, the GIF accompanying the tweet did not show us what the form looked like in the game, as it only showed Goku turning Super Saiyan. The account later posted an official image featuring not only Super Saiyan Blue Goku, but also Naruto’s Sage form and Luffy in his Gear Fourth form.
The fighting is reaching a whole new level when Goku transforms into his SSGSS form in #JUMPFORCE! Are you ready to take on the power of a god? Stay tuned for more details…

In other related news, the developer recently announced the addition of Yu-Gi-Oh‘s Yugi Muto into the Jump Force roster. Yugi is the latest playable character to be revealed in a long line of popular manga and anime characters since the game was initially unveiled at E3 2018 in June. Other confirmed fighters include Sasuke from Naruto, as well as Vegeta and Frieza from Dragon Ball. Additionally, One Piece and Bleach characters like Zoro, Sanji, Blackbeard, Sabo, Ichigo, Rukia, and Aizen have also been confirmed, alongside Gon and Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter.
A Jump Force release date has yet to be confirmed by Bandai Namco. In the meantime, the developer has promised that more surprises are in store for fans of the game. We may receive such news at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2018. Bandai Namco could be saving the best reveals for the highly-anticipated game show, which will be taking place from September 20 to September 23, 2018.
