Hitman 2 and LEGO DC Super-Villains are two keenly anticipated video games, and the organizers of EGX 2018 have announced that both will be playable later this month. The two titles will be part of Sony’s PlayStation lineup of games at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, U.K. between September 20 and 23, according to the official EGX website. The developers of the two games will also conduct Q&A sessions at EGX to reveal more to attendees.
Hitman 2 is the upcoming sequel to the critically-lauded Hitman game that was released in March 2016. The episodic stealth game was both a prequel and a sequel to the Hitman series. The prologue acts served as preceded Hitman: Codename 47, while the main missions took place six years after Hitman: Absolution.
Hitman 2 follows up on the 2016 release of Hitman and sees Agent 47 travel across the globe as he searches for the mysterious gang led by the Shadow Client. Developers IO Interactive will conduct their developer session at EGX on Saturday at 12 p.m. BST. Hitman 2 is set to drop on November 13 on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
LEGO DC Super-Villains is an upcoming LEGO-themed action-adventure game that stars villains from the DC universe. Their arch-rivals—the Justice League—have disappeared and been replaced by a new band of heroes called the “Justice Syndicate.” Not everything is as it seems though and the super-villains will be tasked with uncovering these mysterious newcomers.
LEGO game developers Traveller’s Tales are, once again, behind the title, which is said to be a spin-off of the LEGO Batman Trilogy. LEGO DC Super-Villains will drop on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in North America on October 16 before releasing worldwide on October 19. Traveller’s Tales’ Head of Design Arthur Parsons will take to the EGX Theatre stage on Sunday at 12 p.m. BST to conduct the LEGO DC Super-Villains‘ panel.
