Total War Dev The Creative Assembly Lands Warhammer Deal

Total War developer, The Creative Assembly, along with publisher Sega have landed a deal with the Games Workshop to create "multiple" games in the Warhammer universe. The first game is not expected to release until "after 2013", and the studio confirmed that they will be building a brand new team for this project.

This is probably for the best, as The Creative Assembly is currently working on five projects, including one based on the original Alien movie. It's probably best not to spread themselves too thin with the Warhammer addition.

For those wondering, Eurogamer has confirmed that THQ and Relic Entertainment still hold their license to Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K universe.

Excited about mixing some Total War in with your Warhammer?
