Make-A-Wish Foundation and PopCap Games Make a Dream Come True

The latest time-suck from PopCap Games, Allied Star Police, was just something someone dreamed up. That someone was 9-year-old Owain Weinert.

Aside from having an awkwardly spelled name, Owain was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. The Make-A-Wish foundation, which has also brought Michael Jordan to sick children and sick children to Fenway park, took a nerdier turn with Owain.

Make-A-Wish turned to PopCap Games to turn Owain's concept into a full real-time strategy game called Allied Star Police. You'll be able to download and play Owain's game in the coming months but the real beauty of this whole wish is that all proceeds will be donated back to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

With PopCap behind the wheel, I'm not too worried about the game's quality, but where's the release date?!
