Realm Royale PS4 Closed Beta

Realm Royale PS4 Closed Beta Begins Next Week

Hot off the heels of Fortnite just a few weeks ago, the PS4 is receiving yet another popular free-to-play battle royale game. Realm Royale will be arriving on the console with a Closed Beta next week. For those unfamiliar with the game, it is a spin-off of the Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins and it incorporates certain gameplay elements which differentiate it from other battle royale games like PUBG.

Players will have two ways to join the Realm Royale PS4 Closed Beta. Firstly, they will need to visit the Realm Royale website in order to sign up for the Closed Beta and wait for the official invitation. The other way will be to leave a comment on the PlayStation Blog announcement post and five lucky people will be given access codes on Day One of the Closed Beta.

What makes Realm Royale unique compared to other battle royale games is that it is class-based. There are a total of five fantasy classes to choose from at the beginning of each match. These include Warriors, Assassins, Mages, Engineers, and Hunters. If that’s enough, players can also summon mounts to ride on, making the game that much more exciting. Additionally, Realm Royale utilizes a fantasy theme, instead of the more modern military theme used in PUBG and even Fortnite to a certain degree.

It also features a crafting system, allowing players to craft weapons and armor at fixed locations called Forges. However, crafting at Forges will leave players vulnerable to attack, adding another layer of strategy to the game. At the time of writing, we have no idea when the game will arrive on the Xbox One or the Nintendo Switch. Since Paladins is also available on both of those consoles, it is highly likely that Hi-Rez Studios would be bringing Realm Royale to them sometime in the future.
