E3 2018: Ridley is Smash Bros. Ultimate’s New Character

Despite there already being 64 characters in the Switch release of Smash Bros. Ultimate, there is room for one more, one long-rumored to show up in Smash at some point. Samus Aran’s longtime nemesis, Ridley, is finally a Smash playable character.

As revealed during the closing moments of the Nintendo Direct E3 2018 conference, Ridley turned up and, uhh, killed Mario and Mega Man in a pre-rendered cutscene. So, that’s that. We were then given a look at how Ridley, scaled down somewhat, plays in Smash Bros. Ultimate.
