Team Sonic Racing E3 Gameplay Trailer Released

Team Sonic Racing was officially announced a couple of weeks ago and SEGA has released a new trailer today at E3. The new trailer gives a better peek at some of the game’s tracks, race cars, characters, and more.

The trailer, which is set to new music by Crush 40, features characters such as Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, and Tails racing through several tracks including a jungle speedway, a desert track, a classic concrete raceway, and a skyway seemingly set above London.

SEGA has previously announced that Team Sonic Racing will feature an Adventure Mode, which will introduce players to the game’s mechanics, features, and characters. The game will also feature several solo play, online multiplayer, and local co-op modes. Players can either play solo or team up to join online races with up to 12 competitors in various modes such as Grand Prix, Time Trial, Team Adventure, and more. Those playing in teams will have access to team moves to assist their teammates or knock out opponents. Teams will also have access to a Team Ultimate ability.

Team Sonic Racing will have 15 playable characters from across the Sonic Universe that will be categorized between three distinct types including Speed, Technique, and Power. Players will also have access to 14 offensive and defensive items called Wisps. Lastly, Team Sonic Racing will also feature vehicle customization that could alter its appearance or performance.

SEGA is expected to release even more information on Team Sonic Racing in the next few days so those looking forward to the game won’t have to wait for long before finding out more about it, including more information on the characters that will be coming to the game.

Team Sonic Racing is scheduled for release sometime in the winter of 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out the new trailer below:
