Sony Debuts The Reload Teaser Trailer; Another ‘Michael’ Advertisement

Last year around this time, the Internet was set aflame with speculation when a teaser trailer featuring a myriad of Sony characters released. People assumed it was to the then unannounced, but now ready to release PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.

They were wrong.

It was nothing more than a glorified commercial using PlayStation characters to praise and cheer for "Michael"—a poster child for the everyday PlayStation fans that support the brand and its games.

The Michael ad went on to be one of the biggest viral marketing success stories of last year. Now, Sony is looking for lightning to strike twice, teasing another new video dubbed The Reload.

And although comments on YouTube prove that people's minds are already running wild, suggesting things like a new inFamous game, or Syphon Filter, it's likely nothing more than another one of these "Michael" long Live Play ads. Even more so now that Kevin Butler has been laid to rest.

It even has the same music, and same creepy actress in a booth, as you can compare in the teaser trailer video (top) and original Michael ad (bottom) that we've graciously included below for comparison's sake.

Sorry folks, don't get your hopes up.
