Halo Fireteam Raven

Halo Fireteam Raven Announced by Microsoft

Microsoft has announced a new Halo game titled Halo Fireteam Raven, but it’s not exactly the game fans have been waiting for. It’s not available for the Xbox One since it’s actually an arcade game. The most recent installment of the Halo franchise was Halo 5: Guardians, which was originally released over three years ago. However, fans shouldn’t take this new game lightly as it offers an interesting take on the game’s lore.

Halo Consumer Products Sales and Marketing Manager James Monosmith recently revealed the news on Xbox Wire. Halo: Fireteam Raven is a cooperative arcade sci-fi shooting game developed by Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix in collaboration with 343 Industries. The game is actually set during the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, where players will assume command of Fireteam Raven, a group of elite Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) aiding Master Chief and the rest of the UNSC in the war against the Covenant.

Halo Fireteam Raven: Arcade Machine Features

Halo: Fireteam Raven is playable on a massive 130-inch 4K display and the arcade machine is fitted with four turret-mounted, multipurpose machine guns which will allow up to four players at any one time. Players can play cooperatively or compete against each other.

343 Industries Head of Halo Transmedia Kiki Wolfkill said: “Halo: Fireteam Raven is without a doubt, the most spectacular arcade experience we’ve ever made. After years of development, it is now ready. Arcade games are a wholly different challenge compared to console and PC gaming.”

Halo fans can find the Halo: Fireteam Raven arcade machine at Dave & Busters in the United States and Canada this summer, with more locations to be announced this fall. In other related news, 343 Industries announced its plans for the Halo Master Chief Collection, laying out the changes with the purpose of improving the game.
