New Soul Calibur Announced Next Month?

Today I bring you news of news in the future. An announcement of an upcoming announcement that will lead to more and more possible announcements. Oh, how I love the gaming industry.

Game Director Daishi Odashima of Soul Calibur IV fame took to his twitter account to make the following statement:

"Hopefully I will be able to announce something mid May."

That's it. That's all we've got, but basically what he just said to everyone on the internet is "I'm going to announce Soul Calibur V in May if my corporate entity allows me, even though I basically just announced it by saying I might say something next month."

All I can say to that is, cool beans! I love me some Soul Calibur and am totally down for some new characters and maybe another fighting stick to add to collection. Maybe Odashima-San will make another twit about how he can't say anything about new characters, then proceed to go into great detail about them and their back stories. Either way, thanks for leaking your own game, Daishi. You've saved us journalists a lot of effort.
