Blizzcon 2018

BlizzCon 2018 Date Announced, Tickets Go on Sale in May

Blizzard’s fan annual convention, BlizzCon, will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on November 2 to November 3. BlizzCon 2018 tickets will be going on sale this May, and fans of eSports are in for a real treat this year as Blizzard will be opening up its eSports-focused opening weeks for the first time.  So I guess we can say fans have the choice to have their cake and eat it!

Before BlizzCon’s convention can officially open, it will be proceeded by BlizzCon opening week that will take place at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles from October 25 to October 29. During the opening week, various events will take place such as the initial rounds of the StarCraft 2 World Championship Series Global Finals, the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Finals and World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Finals. Following the opening week will be eSport competitions, along with the Overwatch World Cup and Hearthstone Global Games.

BlizzCon 2018 tickets will be kicking off Wednesday, May 9 at 7 PM, PDT. Considering how popular Blizzard is tickets will no doubt run out quicker than a flash, so thankfully another batch of tickets will be available for fans on Saturday, May 12 at 10 AM, PDT.

The price of the tickets for the two-day event will cost $199, though the pricing and availability for BlizzCon 2018’s Virtual Tour were not announced by Blizzard. Though Blizzard has said that the number of tickets will be limited for the BlizzCon opening week, so fans will really have to have their hands on deck in order to grab those tickets before they run out.

In the past Blizzard has used BlizzCon in order to announce various projects and updates, such as previous years when announcing characters like Sombra from Overwatch. Considering how popular the convention usually is, we expect to see something new and exciting from Blizzard around November time that’ll make fans lose their mind. Until then, keep the dates of May 9 and 12 saved in your calendar!
