Following last week’s announcement, Epic Games is now allowing iPhone users to sign up for Fortnite iOS invites. Those who want to play one of the hottest battle royale titles on the go, can sign up using this link. As soon as you’re able to play, you’ll be emailed access to Fortnite mobile on the App Store, where you can download, install, and then play the game!
Epic Games has revealed the requirements for iPhone access. Here are the compatible devices:
- Requirements: iOS 11 or later, an internet connected device, and an iPhone 6S/SE or later, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 devices.
If you do sign up to the iPhone Invite Event and don’t immediately receive an invite, don’t stress, as invites aren’t actually guaranteed, and even if you do end up getting one, it could take months for yours to be sent out.
The reason for the staggered rollout is to make sure servers can handle the current number of players. As explained by Epic Games: “New invites will roll out as the servers can handle more players.”
If you’re an Android user who’s feeling jealous, it should be too long until Fortnite Android support is available. “Within a few months” is the expected wait length.
