Far Cry 5 Arcade Mode Will Let You Create Levels Using Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs Assets

Far Cry 5 already has a lot going for it. There’s wacky cults, lovable creatures to lend a helping paw and explosions. Lots of explosions. There’s also Far Cry 5 Arcade Mode. Not only it is going to tap into your creative side, it’ll come with a bevvy of past Ubisoft assets for you to use how you see fit. In essence, it’s Americana LittleBigPlanet, with sailboats and moody-looking baseball caps.

The multiplayer component which, it must be mentioned, is free-of-charge, uses designs and assets from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Unity, Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal.  Over 9000 (no jokes, please) of these assets will be available from the get-go. Six new content updates will also be dropping during the game’s lifespan to add even more assets to your playset.

To kick things off, Ubisoft will have a bunch of developer-designed levels to see what’s possible from the editor but, as ever, expect the community to blew those out of the water almost straight away. Someone will probably make a fully-playable Far Cry 2 within the first 12 minutes or something.

Upon completing each map or level, users will be able to take them online and use them within single-player, co-op or 6 vs. 6 competitive multiplayer modes. Want to create a mini-campaign of your own? Go ahead. Feel like crafting a co-op horde mode? Knock yourself out? Want to re-create some of gaming’s finest multiplayer maps in the Far Cry 5 engine? The world is your oyster; Fary Cry 5 Arcade Mode makes it all possible.

If you’re itching to see it all in action (I know I am), you can watch the trailer below, with insight from some of the Ubisoft team.
