GTA Online Marks Tax Season by Giving Away Millions in (Virtual) Cash

Grand Theft Auto V is putting the ‘fun’ in tax refund, with its generous new rebate package now available on GTA Online.

While the rest of us are leafing through receipts, totting up expenses and generally pulling our hair out, Rockstar has seen fit to make our virtual lives just that bit easier with a GTA Online Tax Refund.

If you log into GTA Online between now and February 26, you’ll be given a cool GTA$250,000, no strings attached. Not only that, but any purchases you make during that period will come with a 10% rebate, giving you cashback up to a sum total of GTA$1,000,000.

Rewards and bonuses will be paid out after the deadline, starting from February 27 and ending March 6. All new funds will be found in your Maze Bank mobile account.

Rockstar describes the 2018 San Andreas State Tax Refund and Rebate as follows: ‘Tax season is upon us and with 2017’s population growth, the San Andreas Treasury Department is happy to report a new stimulus for all citizens – hustlers, triggers, shot callers and kingpins alike – alongside a new state-wide rebate program to fill your pockets with extra cash to spend on anything from sensible investments like Executive Offices to submarine-sports car hybrids like the Stromberg all week long.’ I’m just surprised they didn’t plump for a Master Rebate program joke…

So, what are you waiting for? Been eyeing up that flash sports car? Or just really want more bang for your buck in the shape of explosives? Go nuts thanks to the GTA Online Tax Refund. After all, there’s only so much you can do to avoid your real-life taxes.
