Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update

Stardew Valley Multiplayer and New Additions Teased by Creator

Stardew Valley multiplayer has been an eagerly anticipated addition since before the game was released on PC. It seems with creator ConcernedApe’s  recent tweet that the feature may come to fruition soon. The tweet confirms that 4-player Stardew Valley multiplayer is up and running, at least on LAN.

Chucklefish, the publisher of Stardew Valley, mentioned that the multiplayer beta would begin sometime in Q1 2018 (moved back from Q4 2017). With the progress we’re seeing in this tweet, that date doesn’t seem farfetched at all, and players might get a chance to try out multiplayer soon.

We know some new items and additions are coming to Stardew Valley in addition to the multiplayer, and this screenshot clues us in on a few. As you can see, there are two houses at the top of the screen, one of which is built of stone. In the current version of the game you can only use wood to build houses, so potentially you can use multiple materials to construct your home in the coming update.

Developer ConcernedApe tweeted that the upcoming single-player additions are complete and that all attention has been shifted to multiplayer. It looks like this great game will get even more longevity with these new additions. With the progress made so far, it seems like you’ll be farming with your friends online and on LAN soon!
