Destiny 2

Destiny 2 Receives Free Trial on PS4, Xbox One X and PC Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, anyone that wants to try out Destiny 2 will be able to through a free trial. You will be able to download and play the online shared-world first-person shooter without paying a cent. This is great for those that are interested or on-the-fence about Destiny 2, and don’t feel like throwing down the money to buy it.

Players will be able to experience the first part of the singleplayer campaign, explore some of the new worlds featured in Destiny 2, and partake in online competitive multiplayer. There are no specifics given in the press release or free trial trailer on how long this is, or if you can play for free indefinitely.

For anyone interested in checking out the Destiny 2 free trial, simply download it on your PS4 or Xbox One’s online store, or on PC through Blizzard’s online service Battle.net. The Destiny 2 free trial releases just after the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales that saw the game majorly discounted at various retailers.

It also arrives just before the release of the first DLC story expansion for Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris. Curse of Osiris releases simultaneously on all three platforms next week on Tuesday, December 5th. With the release of the first major expansion for the game, it makes sense that Bungie would want to hype it up by letting anyone interested check the base game out.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris brings with it a breadth of changes and new features. These changes include raising the level cap from 20 to 25, the endgame power level max from 305 to 335, the planet of Mercury, more loot, and new story missions to complete.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is completely free for those that own the expansion pass that was included in the Digital Deluxe Edition, which can also be purchased for $34.99. At this time, Curse of Osiris is only available bundled through the expansion pass with no word yet on if you can purchase it on its own.
