Cultists Get Ran Over By A Tractor in the Latest Far Cry 5 Walkthrough Trailer

Ubisoft has released an extended gameplay video revolving around Far Cry 5, exploring the demo from E3 2017. In an unintentionally hilarious opening to the video, a few men bite the dust by being run over by a tractor — the cultists, of course — and you and your loyal dog Boomer make a quick getaway before more of them arrive. Boomer is absolutely adorable, and if there’s any way he can get killed I’m going to be super mad.

The video also shows off the ability to fish in Montana to gain experience and spend some time relaxing between missions, and it looks like a very realistic portrayal of the hobby, right up there with Final Fantasy XV’s fishing mode, and I’ve spent a lot of time fishing in that game.

Later on the video shows off a “forced baptism” by the cult members serving their leader Joseph as the video hosts take a stealthy approach to killing off this insane cultist. There’s also dogfighting in the game, which I’m not a huge fan of (see my aforementioned Boomer comment) nor the fact that you have to have Boomer defend you from predators and whatnot. But that’s the kind of world Ubisoft has woven together here, one where unfortunate things like that happen.

The game is shaping up to be an exciting mixture of various ways to engage in combat, interact with the environment, and send these crazy cultists to Kingdom Come. Far Cry 5 is dropping February 27. 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
