Get To Know The Twisted Photographer Stefano in The Evil Within 2’s Newest Trailer

The Evil Within 2 is shaping up to be a pretty terrifying affair, with plenty of strange characters sprinkled into a harrowing narrative. It looks far trippier than the previous game, especially when you account for a newly-introduced character named Stefano Valentini, an “artist” who uses his creativity for evil, apparently.

Stefano’s “work” can be seen around The Evil Within 2 as he creates grisly, violent scenes of the victims whose lives he takes with callous disregard. Previously a war photographer, after losing his eye Stefano decided he’d shift focus to capturing the exact moment when a person succumbs to death. Since then, he’s been looking to capture the “beauty” he sees in humanity from those very moments. As you can imagine, that doesn’t sound like much of a politically correct or benevolent thing to do when it comes to taking photos of people.

You can get to know the chilling photographer in the latest The Evil Within 2 trailer. The game is currently scheduled for an October 13 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you’ve been following the latest clips from Bethesda over the past few weeks, you’ll have noticed a significant shift in tone from the outwardly supernatural to a more introspective tone, which seems as though it’s going to work extremely well for this kind of game. I for one can’t wait to see what this second nightmarish vision has to offer.
