Destiny 2’s PC Version Will Be Playable to the Public Later This Month

An open beta for Destiny 2‘s PC version has been confirmed with a target date of August 28th through the 31st. The game will be host on Blizzard’s Battle.net service, marking the first time that the platform has been used for a third-party title.

This will be the first time that the PC version will be playable to the public. Previously, press were able to play at a reveal event prior to E3 with positive results.

The PC version is confirmed to support 4K and ultrawide resolutions, in addition to an uncapped framerate despite this being the first time the series has launched on the platform.

The announcement was made alongside the release of a trailer, seen below:

The beta will include the opening story mission titled ‘Homecoming’, in addition to cooperative and competitive modes.

All pre-orders will gain access to the beta. Alternatively, we’ll be hosting a code giveaway soon, so stay tuned.
