Conquer the Blizzard in Horizon: Zero Dawn – The Frozen Wilds DLC This November

Looking for a reason to head back into Horizon: Zero Dawn? There’s a big bushel of content making its way down the line for eager PlayStation 4 owners, which should allow players to see more of Aloy and her plight. While previously we already knew about the DLC’s existence, now we’ve got a date to explore the “Frozen Wilds”. It’s dropping on November 7, 2017.

The news just dropped by way of the official PlayStation Blog, where Guerrilla Games spoke at length about the first story-related DLC for the game as well as dropping its release date. The developer was curiously mum about the whole thing, only letting slip that the DLC will include “new mysteries” and a “new area to explore” in this additional chapter of the game.

Aside from the new playable content, the DLC will offer players a special Horizon: Zero Dawn avatar for anyone who goes ahead and preorders the expansion, which is $19.99 but $14.99 for PlayStation Plus members. It’s available for preorder now if you’re interested in crossing it off of your “to buy” list early.

If you never played through Horizon: Zero Dawn, now might be a good time to pick it up and check it out. It boasted gorgeous graphics and an intriguing science fiction-inspired story – think of it as a heavier sci-fi version of Uncharted or even the Tomb Raider reboots. If you need something to fill out your weekend and help you clear out your backlog, you can’t go wrong here.
