Unsurprisingly, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Tops July PS4 Downloads

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was certainly a test of how far nostalgia can take a game, and apparently, it’s pretty far. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has topped July’s PS4 Downloads list, making it the most-downloaded title for the platform, as we predicted last month.

In June, it took second behind Friday the 13th: The Game, despite Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy only being out for one day that month. Friday the 13th: The Game, on the other hand is still well-represented on this list, placing fourth behind God of War III Remastered and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – Game of the Year Edition, and both of those games were on sale during July’s mid-year sale for $3.99. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Friday the 13th: The Game were the only new titles represented in the top 5.

In the EU, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy did even better, topping the charts for July as well as June, whereas Friday the 13th: The Game fell to sixth this month.

Looking ahead to August, it’s likely both of these games are going to get dwarfed by the upcoming standalone expansion to the Uncharted universe, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition make the list toward the bottom, as it’s just weird enough to garner a following.
