Square Enix Officially Working On Next Final Fantasy XIII Project

According to Famitsu, Square Enix plans to celebrate the Final Fantasy series' anniversary with a new announcement on the "Lightning Saga," the next part of the Final Fantasy XIII project. Oh goody.

Producer Yoshinori Kitase explained that the project has only recently begun, and the studio will announce the game's official title (Final Fantasy XIII-3) at the Final Fantasy anniversary event on September 1st. The event actually begins on August 31st, but they're saving this big announcement for the next day.

Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42).
