Humble Indie Bundle V Ends, Generates $5.1 Million

After over two weeks of The Humble Indie Bundle V being available, the deal of a lifetime has come to a close. As a result of great games being bundled together for the sake of charity nearly 600,000 bundles were sold, generating $5,106,887.23 at an average of $8.52 per bundle.

While the numbers are fantastic its success comes as no surprise. Although it was the fifth Humble Indie Bundle in history, it was inarguably the most compelling with award-winning games such as Braid, LIMBO, and Super Meat Boy included. I've spent over three days toggling between the games; at one moment I'm solving puzzles in LIMBO and the next minute I'm crying like a baby playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent. My Steam friends probably hate me, but I couldn't be more overwhelmed with awesome games. Thanks Humble Indie Bundle V!

A portion of the total generated money has been donated to Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play Charity to both defend the rights of gamers and donate toys to children in hospitals. It's not a bad month to be a gamer.
