Last year, before the new Mortal Kombat game was even announced, a viral video featuring a more realistic take on Mortal Kombat sent the internet into a frenzy of speculation. Many thought it was a teaser prelude to a new title, but it was director Kevin Tancharoen's way of building hype for a new Mortal Kombat film.
