Okami Could See a Sequel on the PS3

Okami was the now-defunct Clover Studio's PS2 game that became one of last generation's best arguments for games as an art form. Despite poor sales, the game received high praise by anyone who played it. Okami was eventually ported to the Wii, which perfectly fit the game's "painting" and brush-stroke gameplay mechanic.

A sequel, Okamiden, was recently released on the Nintendo DS. But according to a new rumor, the series isn't done there, and another sequel may appear on the PS3.

The tidbit of info comes from the rumor section in the May issue of UK's Official PlayStation Magazine, stating:

Despite selling like yellow-snow ice cream, OPM favourite Okami could still get a PS3 sequel.

Normally that wouldn't sound too concrete, but given OPM's track record on rumors, there's at least some chance that this will come to fruition. It makes sense, too – the PlayStation Move would work well with the franchise.

Capcom's Captivate event just came to a close, so we're crossing our fingers that we see an official announcement soon.
