Halo 4 Lands November 6th, 2012

Microsoft and 343 Industries announced today that Halo 4 will be setting down at retail on November 6th, 2012, making a week's difference between Microsoft's big shooter and the anticipated date of Activision's big shooter.

Microsoft Studios VP Phil Spencer said:

With Halo 4 leading the charge, we're confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history. We are beginning a new saga with Halo 4 and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of Halo games and experiences.

It seemed obvious that the next adventure of Master Chief would release sometime in the Fall, but November is not the typical September release window for Halo.

The game will apparently be making an appearance on Conan O'Brien's TBS talk show tonight.
