Netflix Update For 360 Adds Features, Improves Colors

Earlier today, video streaming giant Netflix released an update for the Xbox 360 version of the service, delivering you changes that you didn't know you wanted and others that will likely slipped past unnoticed. As far as actual changes we do want, well… those have yet to be addressed. Come on Netflix, give us an actual onscreen keyboard! We're all growing tired of that painstakingly clunky search interface.

In an effort to aid you in fully appreciating the update that Netflix has just rolled out, I'll fill you in on exactly what they've changed. The most notable is a skip forward and back function, which allows you to navigate within movies and between TV shows with more ease. In addition, a zoom option has been included to accommodate those with 4:3 screens, allowing users to make letterbox content full screen.

Netflix also claims that the update includes "better color contrast, making colors more vivid and black more pure", a change that is certainly appreciated, but one that likely won't be all that recognizable by the average consumer. The company also notes that Facebook integration is being expanded for all users outside of the US, adding an additional layer of social connectivity that most people could care less about. Is it really necessary that Facebook be linked to everything?
