Castlevania Announcement Hinted At By Lords Of Shadow Producer

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, while not the kickback to the originals that fans expected, was a refreshing game that took some of the best elements of modern action-adventure titles and dashed it with a little Castlevania magic. But as always there was room for improvement, and its sales in the neighborhood of one and a half million units along with a comment by the game's Producer points toward the possibility of a sequel.

Producer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, David Cox, posted a mysterious comment on his Twitter account. It states:

Today and tomorrow I am in the land of Dracul… What am I doing there?? You will see…. 🙂

Kojima Productions have been far too quiet lately, especially on the home console front. It's been a year and a half since Castlevania: Lords of Shadow released and all they have to show for that time are a couple of handheld games. Something is up, and there's no doubt about that. The most exciting thing is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow came really close to excellence. It was lengthy and had a lot of content, but its gameplay mechanics and camera deserved better. If there was one thing that just about everyone could agree on it's that it didn't feel enough like a Castlevania game. That shouldn't be too hard to correct…

Since all he said was "you will see", it's difficult to tell when we'll find out what he's talking about. However, with E3 only two-months away chances are we'll hear about it then. Cross your fingers.
