Brawlhalla Castlevania Crossover Announced With Simon Belmont and Alucard

Ubisoft has revealed that a Brawlhalla Castlevania crossover that will introduce Simon Belmont and Alucard to the fighter during the Ubisoft Forward 2022 show that aired earlier today. In collaboration with Konami Digital Entertainment, and just in time for Halloween, the crossover event dubbed Brawlhalla-vania will go live on October 19 for Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PS4.

Brawlhalla-vania crossover features giant axes and swift swordplay

In the reveal trailer above, we see some gameplay footage of Simon Belmont who swings his axe all across the 2D battlefield, juggling foes with his giant axe. The animated section shows off his signature chain whip, but it’s a wonder if he can use the weapon in battle. On the other side, the ever-graceful Alucard dashes into the fray, using his swordplay to get in quick combos that look difficult to interrupt. It also looks from the trailer that Alucard can also wield a scythe, which will likely be slower but have higher damage output.

This follows an epic crossover between Brawlhalla and Assassin’s Creed which was available in late June this year. We’ll just have to see what other crossovers Brawlhalla will have in the future, now that it’s more open to characters from other franchises, following the trend of other fighters like Super Smash Bros. and Multiversus that has rosters from a plethora of other franchises.

In other news, the Mandalorian Season 3 teaser trailer has dropped, and the Disney Illusion Island release window has been announced and has couch co-op.
