First Batch of DLC Characters Revealed for Mortal Kombat

Mortal
Kombat's April 19th release date is just around the corner, yet the game's entire roster hasn't yet been announced (though it has been leaked). But before NetherRealm Studios can even make the initial roster official, the first batch of DLC characters has been revealed via the May 2011 issue of GamePro magazine.

The magazine reveals 3 DLC characters — two of them are reasonably popular from earlier MK titles, while one character, which Ed Boon teased months ago on his Twitter account by showing a little leg:

The first character is the sub-boss from Mortal Kombat II, Kintaro. Like Goro, Kintaro is a 4-armed Shokan serving as one of Shao Kahn's elite.

Next is Kenshi, a great warrior swordsman who was tricked by Shang Tsung, leaving Kenshi without his sense of sight. Kenshi, while very popular among Mortal Kombat fans, didn't appear until Deadly Alliance.

Last up is the "Lady in Red", a female ninja donning a red outfit and a red ninja mask. Named Scarlet, she's a non-existent, rumored MK2 character that stemmed from when Mileena, Jade or Kitana's palette would glitch, turning their outfit red. Ed Boon teased the above image via his Twitter account back in September of last year, and that's the closest thing we have to official information thus far.

This is just the first batch of many DLC characters planned for Mortal Kombat. Which characters would you like to see return as DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
