Report Claims PS4 to Debut at E3 2012

It's beginning to look like this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo is going to be a heated battle fought with only the heaviest artillery: Next generation consoles.

Even though the Wii U debuted at E3 last year, there wasn't much to see aside from tech demos. A more significant showing is due this year ahead of the system's launch.

A new Xbox is supposedly going to be there, too.

For a while, it seemed that Sony may be left behind yet again for this console generation. But the bigwigs at Sony have supposedly decided that there will be no head starts for Nintendo and Microsoft, and have begun telling third-party partners that the PlayStation 4 will debut at E3 2012.

That's going to be some serious competition, and one hell of a show.

Pricing and launch details aren't expected for the new Xbox or PlayStation, but their presence at the show might be enough to slow Wii U sales as gamers wait for these other new console to drop.

Crazy, right? Do you really think that three new next-gen consoles will be at E3? Let us know in the comments.
