Is 16 GB of Memory Enough? NO. 32 GB Is.

More and more developers are calling on console manufacturers to include more random access memory in their hardware. id Software and more are pointing to memory as one factor putting PCs far ahead of current-generation hardware.

iBUYPOWER announced today that they're exemplifying that factor by being the first PC builder to offer 32 GB of Memory on their Intel Sandy Bridge systems. Multitasking, gaming, and Windows 7 SuperFetch tech will all receive major boosts in boot times and loading:

The amount of memory in a system significantly impacts the user's experience, this is especially true with gaming systems. The option to build a system with 32GB of memory ensures iBUYPOWER customers will have a positive experience with our PCs and the reason we wanted to be the first system builder to offer it.

I can't say you'll need an SSD with that kind of memory in your system. Console makers will really need to step up their upcoming hardware if they're going to match the kind of machines you can get from the likes of iBUYPOWER.

Star Citizen
