Batman: Arkham City Moves 4.6 Million Units in First Week

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment did a little gloating this morning, and they have every right to. Batman: Arkham City has shipped over 4.6 million units worldwide in just one week of being on the market.

The figure more than doubles the launch week sales of Arkham Asylum, and makes Arkham City one of the top-selling titles of the year. The game also is the highest-rated title of the year on both the Xbox 360 and PS3, metascoring 95 and 96 respectively.

GameRevolution awarded the title with a super-prestigious A-grade on its report card. Something Batman would have totally brought home and showed his parents if they weren't murdered in that alleyway.

Batman: Arkham City is well on its way to being a Game of the Year contender, and quite possibly, winner. Look out for our full end of the year awards, coming in December.
