Persona 5 Pre-Orders Canceled By Amazon Due To Product Defect

If you're someone who was eagerly awaiting your Persona 5 pre-order, you probably already got or will be getting a disturbing email from Amazon letting you know that they will be unable to ship your order.

According to many Reddit and NeoGAF users, in addition to other sources, Amazon is mass-canceling Persona 5 pre-orders, but the blame may rest with Atlus. According to the e-mail sent out by Amazon:

"We won't be able to send you Persona 5 – PlayStation 4 "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition.

This is because this item contains regulated materials classified as dangerous goods and can not be delivered by Amazon …

Unfortunately, this means that we're not able to ship your order and it has been canceled."

According to some reports, this may be affecting Amazon's entire stock of Persona 5. but it may only the premium edition, which could be where the hazardous material was detected by Amazon. Some have speculated that it has to do with the Steelbook versions, but others have reported that their Steelbook editions have not been canceled yet.

GameRevolution will have more as the story develops.
