New Minecraft Song May Have Plagiarized Little Big Planet

Remember that stink over the Metal Gear Solid theme probably being plagiarized from an obscure classical piece? Well this is similar, except this story is about purported game-on-game crime. See, the new 1.9 patch for Minecraft has a song in it called Chirp, which sounds… pretty much identical to a song in Little Big Planet called The Orb of Dreamers.

Chirp was actually released a year ago in a preview, but apparently it's only recently that the connection was made. You can listen to both songs and make the comparison yourself:

Pretty damn similar, right? What do you think – is there any possible way this is just a coincidence?
