Diablo 20th Anniversary Patch Performing Poorly on PC

Diablo's 20th Anniversary patch for Diablo III just launched today in North and South America, and reportedly just dropped in the EU as well. Unfortunately, all is not well in this stroll down memory lane.

Several different people on the Diablo sub-Reddit are complaining of performance issues, including a sub-par framerate and other graphical errors, something one Blizzard employee assured is being looked into by "our QA guys."

One person was even so frustrated as to exclaim "I'm saying this bullshit isn't playable." Here is a sampling of some of the comments:

Blizzard Customer Support has addressed this issue with a few players, supposedly with it having something to do with a lack of support on 64-bit systems. We'll know soon exactly how severe this issue is and when it gets resolved fully.
