Irrational Games to Show Off Bioshock Infinite at PAX East

PAX East kicks off this Friday, and some of the biggest names in gaming will be showing off their latest and greatest at the event. Boston-native developer, Irrational Games, will be talking about how "game worlds" can become the "main character".

Creative director Ken Levine and his team: art director Nate Wells, lead artist Shawn Robertson and senior effects artist Stephen Alexander will discuss Bioshock: Infinite's location, Columbia, and how they “arrived on Columbia’s visual design, its inspirations, the overarching creative process and plenty of other topics related to the creation of the world of BioShock: Infinite.”

The first two Bioshock games took place in a massive underwater city called Rapture. In Bioshock: Infinite, Columbia is the main location and is a floating city suspended mid-air by balloons and blimps.

Look out for our coverage of this and many other upcoming titles during our PAX East coverage.
