All Four Borderlands Characters Will Return for Borderlands 2

In a demo at the Penny Arcade Expo today, Gearbox Software told their diehard, super-long-line-waiting fans that all four characters from the original Borderlands would return to play a role in the story of Borderlands 2. In addition to showing a lengthy demo of the game, tons of new enemies, and a wealth of new guns, Gearbox Software devs said that they won't be abandoning Roland, Brick, Lillith, and Mordecai.

The hands-off PAX Prime demo went from a frosty mountain peak, to a mechanical look fortress, and out onto the precipice of a dam, overlooking green hillsides. The quest centered around saving "a friend". Just before the boss fight, it was revealed that the play would be rescuing Roland.

While all four playable characters from Borderlands will show their faces in Borderlands 2, it's not yet known in what capacity they'll appear. Stick with GameRevolution as we bring you everything from the show floor at PAX Prime and all the exclusive hands-on previews and impressions from Seattle, Washington.
