Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Update Fixes Fast Travel Crashes

Gearbox Software has announced that a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands update is now live that addresses some of the crashes that players have experienced in the game when attempting to fast travel. It’s not a huge patch, considering that there are many other issues with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands that need to be addressed, but it shows that the developers are working as quickly as they can at making the game more stable.

What does the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands patch for fast travel fix?

Through an official tweet from the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Gearbox has notified players that the fast travel patch is already live:

“We’re putting out a quick update to Xbox consoles for @PlayWonderlands that will address some of the crashes that players have seen during Fast Travel. We’ve lowered those particle effects to reduce the strain on those consoles.

Please restart your game to benefit from changes!”

In a follow-up reply to the same post, the developers have also added that the hotfix has “been pushed live to Sony and Epic platforms as well.”

Many fans are relieved that the patch is coming through as some have had their games crash by using the simple function of teleporting around the game’s world. Other users in the official bug report thread on the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Reddit have also been facing issues with the console completely shutting off when they try to respawn after dying or when fast travelling. A few have even requested refunds due to this particular problem, but hopefully this update will quell their anger.

That said, in the same Reddit thread, “dying while fast travelling” is just one of many bugs they have identified without any workarounds, such as loot luck fluctuating, unexpected crashing on Xbox Series X, and the HUD and UI randomly disappearing. The SHiFT servers are also “mostly down,” but Gearbox promises that the issue will be resolved.

In other news, Nintendo has announced that Breath of the Wild 2 has unfortunately been delayed until 2023, and Dying Light 2 will not be getting a battle royale mode anytime soon.
