New King’s Quest Gets a Release Date

It's been 17 years since the last King's Quest game, so fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the upcoming King's Quest: A Knight to Remember. Fortunately, those fans won't have to wait much longer.

According to publisher Sierra, the first chapter of A Knight to Remember comes out on July 28 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One releases follow the next day on July 29.

The first chapter costs $10, but like other episodic games the entire season will be available for purchase. King's Quest: The Complete Collection includes all five chapter and costs $40. It's currently available for pre-order on PSN and Steam, while Xbox 360 and Xbox One pre-orders go up on July 7.

The King's Quest reboot is being developed by The Odd Gentleman, best known for the charming puzzle game The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. It's a big project for the company, but early footage indicates it's on the right track.
